Rebecca Rottsolk
Rebecca Rottsolk returns for her second appearance as PICCFEST guest conductor. Rebecca served as Artistic Director of the internationally renowned Northwest Girlchoir in Seattle, Washington from 1982 to 2001. Under her leadership, the Choir’s outstanding repertoire, creative and varied performances, and professional recordings have became a model for other choirs and music educators.
In addition to conducting festival and honor choirs, Rebecca is a frequent presenter in workshops for conducting, rehearsal techniques, choral repertoire and working with treble voices. She has served on a review panel for the National Endowment of the Arts and edits a choral series for Alliance Music Publications. She is the 1997 recipient of the Washington State ACDA Award for Choral Leadership and is National ACDA (American Choral Director’s Association) Chairperson for Children’s Choirs.
